Marina sees people as naturally intuitive and resourceful. Each person already has all the answers he or she needs. Therefore, Marina views her mission as creating a safe and nurturing space within which her clients can explore their own subjectivity and discover their inner wisdom.
Marina views psychological health as a continuous expansion of one's consciousness and awareness; as an appreciation of all life, including one's own; as one's genuineness, responsibility, and continuous zest for Self-knowingness, Self-acceptance, Self-love, and Self-nurturing. She also views health as an ability to live an inspired life free of fear, attachments, aversions, resentments, and resistances; as an ability to live in the moment, accept what is, forgive and let go of the past, and be open to the uncertainty of the future.
In her clinical work, Marina integrates a wide array of theoretical approaches and therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to: existential-humanistic, developmental, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems. Yet, no matter what approach she uses, she values identifying, attending to, and utilizing her clients' inner resources throughout the therapeutic process.
Marina treasures authenticity in therapeutic relationships. She strongly believes that a trusting, genuine relationship heals, and she develops her therapeutic work with clients based on this belief.
